Delegating, supervising and delivering feedback (Non-legal)

The role of the manager\supervisor is to get things done through others. In this capacity the ability to motivate, delegate and provide feedback are essential parts of the manager\supervisor's toolkit. We will provide you with the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to do this effectively.

By the end of this session, you should:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the supervisor
  • Understand how people are motivated and develop skills in motivating others
  • Have the knowledge of and be able to use a range of delegation styles and techniques
  • Understand how to structure and deliver feedback which changes behaviour; and understand the benefits of doing so
