Join us for a morning workshop that will address a number of issues that impact the work of company secretarial and in-house legal teams.
The following topics will be discussed:
|The 2018 AGM season and beyond
||This session will first look back at developments occurring in the 2018 AGM season and then look forward at corporate governance and other developments in-house and company secretarial teams need to be aware of.
|Latest market developments
||The increasing focus on non-financial and gender pay reporting requires companies to be more transparent in these areas. This session will provide guidance on how this can be achieved. It will also consider other reporting developments, including in relation to inside information.
|Parent company liability and subsidiary governance
||The question of when a parent company can be held liable for the acts and/or omissions of its subsidiaries has been considered by the Court of Appeal in two recent judgments. This session will look at those judgments and consider their implications for subsidiary governance frameworks which groups of companies seek to put in place.
|GDPR – have you done enough?
||Businesses have responded to the GDPR with varying degrees of enthusiasm. Post its implementation date of May 25, 2018, this session will look at the areas which are most likely to attract regulatory attention.
In-house legal and compliance teams across all industry sectors. This seminar is part of a series available to clients of Norton Rose Fulbright throughout the year. Further information is available on request.
